Founded in 2020 by alumni of the Weizmann Institute of Science, Enzymit’s team includes experts in computational protein design, synthetic biology, generative Al, bioengineering, molecular biology and other specialties.

Gideon Lapidoth
CEO
Gideon developed Enzymit's design platform and leads its technological development and strategy, specializing in algorithms to design antibodies and enzymes with precision.
He holds an MSc in Biochemistry from Tel Aviv University and a PhD in Computational Biology from the Weizmann Institute.
Dror Baran
COO
Dror is an expert in synthetic biology and protein engineering, co-developer of Enzymit's core technology, with 10+ years of biotech experience. He specializes in antibody engineering, molecular biology, NGS, and biochemistry.
Dror holds a Master’s from the Weizmann Institute and a Bachelor’s in Biology from Ben Gurion University.
Itay Levin
VP R&D
Itay is a scientific leader with 16+ years of expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, and protein engineering.
He held roles at biotech startups, served as Senior Scientific Director at Biolojic Design, earned a PhD from Tel Aviv University, and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Washington.
Lior Zimmerman
Head of AI
Lior is a machine learning expert with a background in computational biology. He was principal scientist at IgC Bio, Director of AI at Anthem Inc., and held research roles at NovellusDX and IBM. Lior holds a BSc and MSc from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Veronica Reiss
Lab Manager
Veronica is a biochemist with extensive experience in lab work, research and lab management. With an MSc in Biochemistry from the National University of Cordoba and a wealth of industry knowledge.

PhD in Biochemistry from Ben Gurion University.
